The Thracian tower fortress "Hisarlaka" and the later tower "Justina" (6th century) built next to its ruins by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian, testify to the ancient strategic importance of the area, serving as defense and control points over key road arteries. They are enriched with impressive architectural elements, such as the rock tower of Justina.
In its foothills lies the chapel of St. George.

The historical temple "St. Archangel Michael" in Perushtitsa, built in 1847 and consecrated in 1849, was the last refuge of the people of Perushtitsa in the struggle for freedom in 1876. The three-naved and single-apse building with brick vaults and stone floor slabs contains icons by the renowned Stanislav Dospievski. In 1971, it was declared an architectural monument of culture, with subsequent efforts for its conservation and repair.
