Our 3L box of Mavrud and Rubin wine from the Villa Yustina collection impresses with an attractive blend of Bulgarian local grape varieties. It has an intense ruby red color and a complex aroma of ripe forest fruits, combined with earthy tones and spices. With a full and balanced body, it finishes with spicy notes. Perfectly pairs with grilled and roasted meats, lasagna, pizza, and cheeses with noble mold.

Aroma and Flavour

An attractive blend of Bulgarian local grape varieties. Intense ruby red color with a complex aroma of ripe forest fruits, combined with earthy tones and spices. A full and balanced body, with spicy notes on the finish.

Suitable foods

Well paired with grilled and roasted meats, lasagna, pizza.
Meat: beef or pork steaks, raw smoked meats, bacon.
Cheese: soft cheeses with noble mold, Emmental, Gouda, Brie.

Vinification

The different grape varieties are vinified separately. After hand-selecting the grapes on a sorting table, the bunches are crushed and destemmed, followed by cold maceration at 7-9˚C for 3 days, alcoholic fermentation at 26-28˚C for 7-9 days in stainless steel vessels with full temperature control. The finished wines are blended in different proportions to create a more complex wine with a full body.
